Vietnam has been on my mind a lot lately. It was one of my favorite countries that I visited during my recent trip around the world, and I’ve found myself missing it more and more since being back.
My stay in Hoi An fell in the middle of my five weeks in Vietnam. I found it to be more touristy than other places I had visited in the country, but no less enjoyable. Bright yellow buildings and colorful boats make for a happy scene, and there’s no shortage of delicious restaurants to try. There’s also such a quaint charm to being in a place where bicycles are the preferred mode of transport and the beach is a short ride away.
Without any immediate plans to return to Asia, the closest I can get is by revisiting old photos like these ones. As a bonus, they serve as the perfect reminder for why I’m saving money rather than spending it on frivolous things: so I can travel!
In the meantime, I’m starting a new Friday series to feature photo diaries for the travel destinations that I’ve visited or hope to visit in the future. After all, we all need something to daydream about.
Have a wonderful weekend, and happy wanderlusting.
