While I’ve never had the need to wear a suit to work, I’ve always loved simple elegance of the silhouette and wanted to put together a more relaxed version.
Creating my “pajama suit” was all about the pant. I didn’t want anything that was too formfitting or too gaucho, so it took me a while to find the right version that was loose enough but still had a good shape, and was made with a drapey, easy fabric.
To create your own relaxed suit silhouette, look for suit pieces in comfortable, breathable fabrics like silks and cottons. Elect for versions that are slightly oversized to give you room to tuck in pieces for more visual interest while also not feeling too restrictive. I love half-tucking my tank into the pants, or partially rolling the pant cuffs.
Any excuse for pajama dressing is a win in my book, so this is a look I know I’ll be re-creating again soon.
