San Francisco weather is usually praised for being consistent, but what everyone forgets to mention is that it is often consistently cold. Daytime is usually fine, but I find myself reaching for warmer knits and extra layers as soon as the sun starts to set.
I re-discovered this cropped sweater as I was unpacking, and threw it on in anticipation of a windy San Francisco evening.
While I love the look of it with this midi skirt, the extreme crop of the sweater makes it difficult to wear with anything but high-high-waisted pieces. I want all of the clothing in my minimalist closet to be extremely versatile, so I’m questioning whether this sweater is a good piece to keep.
What do you think? Should I keep it, or is it time to let this one go?
a very dear thank you to my friend lizzie for the photos
PS – This might be weird to bring up, but I noticed that the scars on my legs and hand are pretty visible in these photos. They’re recent (from two accidents in Bali and Vietnam), so I’m still getting used to seeing them, but I wanted you to know that I’m not ever going to photoshop or otherwise manipulate my body in photos – even for little things like these scars. I think we’ve all heard (or seen) the horror stories about photoshopping with blog or fashion images, and I just think we should all be free to celebrate how we look – even if it might not make for the “perfect” photo. I hope you agree. – N
